World Economic Forum (WEF) Early Careers Programme 2025 Cohort

Applications are now open for the 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) Early Careers Programme. This programme offers recent graduates the opportunity to gain real-world experience and contribute innovative ideas to the Forum. Ideal candidates are bachelor’s or master’s program graduates with 1-2 years of professional experience.
As part of the programme, participants will work in specific functional areas and gain hands-on experience while contributing to impactful projects. The experience will allow for collaboration with seasoned professionals, helping develop a diverse skill set to advance your career.
Functional Areas:
- Community and Stakeholder Management: Engage and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration through communication activities.
- Project, Content, and Policy Management: Conduct research, manage projects, and develop content to support strategic initiatives.
- Data and Analytics: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making and support strategic planning.
- Technology Innovation and Digital Success: Lead digital strategy development and drive technology adoption to enhance global collaboration.
Thematic Areas: Participants can also apply their skills in one of the following thematic areas:
- Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Cybersecurity, Energy and Materials, Financial and Monetary Systems, Health and Healthcare, Nature and Climate, Regions Trade and Geopolitics, Fourth Industrial Revolution, New Economy and Society, Urban Transformation
- Industry and Private Sector Engagement
- Organizational Enablement (Finance, IT, People & Culture, Public Affairs, etc.)

- Mission-Driven: Strong motivation for the organization’s mission and improving the world.

Benefits:
- Full-time, 6-month contract at WEF offices in Geneva or Beijing
- Program start dates between 15 March and 15 April 2025
- Monthly compensation: CHF 4,500 (salary and medical allowance) / CNY 11,565 (salary)

2025 Department of Science and Innovation-National Youth Service (DSTI-NYS) Programme for Young South Africans
Application Deadline: January 31, 2025
Applications are now open for the 2025 Department of Science and Innovation-National Youth Service (DSTI-NYS) Programme. This initiative is part of South Africa’s National Youth Service Programme and is managed by the South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement of the National Research Foundation. The DSTI-NYS programme offers unemployed graduates under 35 years of age an opportunity to work at partner institutions for 12 months while receiving a monthly stipend to cover their living expenses.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Science, Technology, Journalism, Media Studies, Communications)
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Strong self-motivation with the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Writing and/or radio/television skills
- Good analytical and interpersonal skills
