Risk Director

The Job

The Risk Director will develop and execute a comprehensive risk management strategy that will ensure fraud and other operational risks within Triggerise’s platforms are prevented, detected, and effectively addressed. As the Risk Director, you will also be responsible for:

  • Develop and articulate a strategic risk vision that aligns with Triggerise’s overall goals and objectives, ensuring the prevention of fraud and other operational risks, timely detection of issues, and providing guidance to the organization in this area.
  • Proactively participate in the design of our offers and systems to ensure that they are built in a way that minimizes the risk of fraud and other operational risks, by collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing strategic recommendations.
  • Establish an industry-leading risk management framework that includes an optimal mix of possible fraud detection tools and risk mitigation strategies, which will identify possible fraud and other operational risks within our ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, regulators, and external partners, ensuring that reporting of incidents and general risk-related data is timely, accurate, and of high quality, while also managing reputational risk for the organization.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team of risk management professionals, creating a positive work environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while also aligning with Triggerise’s values and culture.

About You

You are a visionary leader who can develop and execute strategies to manage risk effectively. You pay attention to detail, have excellent analytical skills, and have a thorough approach to your work. You lead by example, and your strength of vision ensures that goals are reached. You can communicate clearly and concisely, including when reporting your findings. You can collaborate with cross-functional teams and offer practical solutions when necessary.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a risk management position.
  • A finance or risk-focused qualification.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide practical solutions.
  • Experience leading, managing, and developing teams.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Virtual Pro (Short Term Contract)

The Job

As a Virtual Pro, you will communicate with our young user base (aged 15-24) via phone calls, providing information about Tiko membership and SRH services, answering queries, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations. Your role will be critical in gathering feedback from platform users before implementing a tech solution, by identifying non-compliant voices and flagging mobilizers engaging in misconduct.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a call center or customer service environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with and engage our young user base.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with experience using Google packages being an added advantage.
  • Must be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
