Safety, Plants & Equipment Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations governing environmental health and safety
- Develop procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and government authorities to formulate corrective actions
- Design and implement safety training for all levels of employees
- Assesses risk potential of hazardous construction
- develop and implement construction accident investigation and recurrence prevention programs and procedures
- Conduct on-site reviews and audits of operations and facilities
- Evaluates new safety equipment for appropriateness
- Ensure all equipment in use is fit for use at the constructive site
- Oversee maintenance of any faulty equipment
- Manage the maintenance engineers
- Respond and provide assistance to all emergency situations
Job Requirements & Competencies
- 5 years’ experience as a Safety Manager
- Basic Degree in Engineering/Architectural/Environmental Science or related studies
- Knowledge in disaster preparedness
- Management and supervisory skills
- Understanding of the local regulatory laws and rules governing constructions
- Oral and written communication techniques
- Good first aid skills and certifications
Measurement, Cost Estimation and Progress Monitoring Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Estimation strategy & policy development and implementation.
- Preparation of Project Bids and cost Estimates while overseeing the project estimation process.
- Planning and coordinating company projects ensuring cost lines are met while closely working with the project management team to establish new and promising projects to the company.
- Providing line management to cost estimators
- Project Information and data management
- Ensure legal contractual framework and compliance is maintained in the course of costing for bids
- Reviews project plans and specifications and advises on their completeness
- Preparation of monthly payments applications in a timely manner
- Preparation monitoring and updating of projects resourced cashflow
- Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the CEO
Job Requirements and Key competencies
- A Postgraduate degree in Civil/Building Engineering/ Architecture from a recognized University
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the estimation / commercials in the Construction Company
- MUST be a registered Engineer with relevant country/regional body
- Demonstrable knowledge in Project estimation and budgeting
- Demonstrable cost planning and management experience
- Proficient with computers, estimating and scheduling software programs
- Management and Supervision Skills with ability to coordinate multinational teams
- Understanding of local regulatory laws and rules governing construction
- Excellent financial management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to analyze situations critically and make sound decisions for the project delivery.
- Knowledge in MS Projects, Gantt Chart Development, PERT, PRIMAVERA programs or equivalents is an added advantage.
