Required Skills and Experience
Minimum Qualifications of the Successful NPSA Min. Academic Education
-  Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Applications/Software Development, Information Systems, or related field.
-  Bachelor’s Degree in with 2 years of professional experience can be taken into consideration in lieu of Master’s degree.
Min. years of relevant Work experience
- Â 2 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant professional experience in the field of information technology and/or database management.
Required skills and competencies
- Â Demonstrated experience in PHP, MySQL in database and application design/development.
- Â Demonstrated experience in designing, theming and deploying Drupal based websites.
- Â Demonstrated experience in UNIX based servers is required
- Â Demonstrated experience with JavaScript library like REACT is required.
- Â Experience in problem solving and the ability to identify solution-based outcomes is required.
- Â Ability to adapts solutions so they are fit for purpose in each context, meeting the needs of end users.
Desired additional skills and competencies
- Â Experience working in an international organization is a comparative advantage.
- Â Experience managing Linux based servers
- Â Experience theming and deploying in Drupal 8 and above using twigs
- Â Experience working with cloud computing and implementing Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) using Azure.
- Â Experience implementing IT projects using waterfall or agile methodologies
Required Language(s) (at working level)
- Â Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
Professional Certificates
- Â Certification in project management is an asset
- Â Certificates in cyber security or related courses is an asset

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
-  Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in development economics, business administration, social sciences or related disciplines.
Experience:
- Â A minimum of 7 years of professional work experience providing policy advice and programme support in the area of community security in different development contexts.
- Â At least 3 years of experience working in developing country settings is required.
- Â Experience in crisis contexts is an asset.
Language Requirements:
- Â Fluency in English, both written and oral;
- Â Fluency in another UN language is an asset.
