Software Engineering Manager – Ubuntu Build Infrastructure
As a software engineering manager for Ubuntu build infrastructure, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of engineers in your region who work on Ubuntu’s build system, which produces packages, images, and snaps for Ubuntu and its derivatives
- Developing talent, creating and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders, collaborating with a distributed team and community, and growing and leading a healthy, collaborative engineering culture
- Ensuring that the build infrastructure is reliable, scalable, secure, and efficient and that it meets the needs of Ubuntu’s users and developers
- Working with other teams at Canonical to deliver high-quality products and services that support Ubuntu’s vision and strategy
Software Engineering Manager – Ubuntu Linux Kernel
As a software engineering manager for the Ubuntu Linux kernel, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of engineers who work on Ubuntu’s core and specialized kernels, which power Ubuntu on desktops, servers, clouds, IoT devices, and more
- Overseeing commercial engagements, ensuring quality and reliability standards, and engaging with other teams at Canonical, the open-source community, and commercial partners
- Delivering timely and secure kernel updates for Ubuntu’s supported releases, as well as new features and enhancements for future releases
- Working with other teams at Canonical to deliver high-quality products and services that support Ubuntu’s vision and strategy

Requirements
