We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Senior Manager – Cloud Services, Jubilee Life Insurance
Limited. The position holder will report to the Head of Cloud & IT Security and will be based at Head Office in Nairobi.
Role Purpose
The Senior Manager – Cloud Services is responsible for leading and managing the cloud services department within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing cloud strategies, ensuring operational efficiency, adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements, fostering a strong leadership culture, and delivering key outcomes to support the organization’s cloud infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities
Strategy:
• Develop and execute the organization’s cloud services strategy, aligned with overall business objectives.
• Identify and evaluate emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud computing to enhance the
organization’s cloud services.
Operational:
• Oversee the planning, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring high
availability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud architecture and infrastructure solutions.
• Monitor and optimize cloud service performance, capacity, and cost efficiency.
• Establish and maintain robust incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans for cloud
services.
Corporate Governance (Regulatory and Compliance):
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, data protection, and security standards.
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures to maintain data integrity, privacy, and confidentiality within the
cloud environment.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks related to cloud services.
Leadership and Culture:
• Provide strong leadership to the cloud services team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and
continuous improvement.
• Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support the professional development of team members.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google
Cloud).
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security, data privacy, and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or other relevant frameworks.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Relevant Experience
• Proven experience of at least 8-10 years in in managing cloud services, preferably in a senior leadership role.
