Instructor – Flight Operations Officer (FOO)

Brief Description        

  • Organize, conduct, evaluate training and development programs to enhance organizational and individualperformance of operational personnel and commercial customers.

Detailed Description        

  • Developtraining curriculum, syllabi and manuals for Flight Operations Officers,pilots, and Load controllers.
  • Conductload control training for pilots and FOOs to enable them to complete a loadsheet as per KCAA regulations and Company requirements and standards for eachfleet.
  • Plan,organize, schedule and deliver Flight Operations Training programs incollaboration with the various functions in order to enable easy access andfull participation.
  • Ensurethat all trainings are conducted as per the KCAA/Company policy and standards.
  • Prepareand ensure quality of classrooms during lecture, encourage participation ofaudience
  • Issuecertificates / licenses to qualified staff to ensure compliance with KCAA andKQ Standards and Procedures.
  • Delivercommercial training programs to contribute to the achievement of revenuegeneration.
  • Maintaincompetency, qualification and where required certified in both the subjectmatter required to deliver.
  • Supportin the review of operational manuals to ensure compliance with regulatoryrequirements, industry standards and company training standards withinoperational areas.
  • Act assubject matter expert for the business with regards to Flight Operations/AircraftHandling and Loading issues.
  • Create alearning culture by always engaging learners and their managers.

Job Requirements

  • FOO DispatchLicense/ATPL pilots license

Instructor – Ground Support Equipment (GSE)

Brief Description        

  • Organize, conduct, evaluate training and  development programs to enhance organizational and individual performance of  operational personnel and  commercial customers.

Detailed Description        

  • Analyze learning & development needs and designsolutions to ensure they address capability development needs.
  • Develop GSE programs in conformance to the industrystandards and regulations on theoretical and practical operation for:
    • LoadingAgents
    • CabinCleaning (Interior and External)
    • GSEOperators
    • GSETechnicians
    • Aircrafttechnicians
  • Deliver the training to the selected participants toenhance knowledge and skills
  • Follow up on course participants to evaluate level ofskills transfer & implementation of action plans.
  • Prepare progress & assessment report on courseparticipants for follow up and recommendations to their respective supervisor.
  • Prepare, administer and mark examinations to assess theeffectiveness of the training.
  • Issue certificates and permits to those who qualifies.
  • Adapt and customise training to meet customers’requirements
  • Deliver commercial training programs to contribute inrevenue generation.
  • Monitor and evaluate implementation of training insubject matter areas to ensure effective transfer of skills. (Level3)
  • Provide ROI on Trainings offered.
  • Maintain competency and qualification for GSEOperators.
  • Support in the review of operational manuals to ensurecompliance with regulatory requirement.
  • Submit training records that are accurate, up to date,complete and submitted within stipulated times.
  • Organize training logistics including learningmaterials and venue arrangements

Job Requirements        

  • Universitygraduate (Mechanical Engineering) OR
  • Higher Diploma(Mechanical Engineering)
  • Diploma inMechanical/Automotive Engineering
  • 5 years’experience with 3 years’ experience in supervisory Role

  • Conducttraining needs assessment to Identify training and development needs
  • Delivertraining programs in areas of Safety & Emergency and other relevant staffdevelopment courses in accordance with the approved syllabi/curriculum
  • Prepare,administer, mark examinations, and communicate results
  • Preparereports on all trainings conducted to enable continuous evaluation of training
  • Issuecertificates to qualified participants
  • Prepareand submit accurate and complete training records within the stipulated time
  • Reviewtraining materials to reflect company standards, regulatory requirements andapplicable industry standards.”
