Primary Responsibility:

This position is responsible for meeting healthcare business production target, both new and renewal by generating business directly and from intermediaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing the risk presented through risk notes & accepting business in line with the set underwriting criteria.
• Introducing the company’s product to existing and new brokers and intermediaries.
• Maintain existing relationships with intermediaries in order to protect the existing books of business.
• Identify new opportunities for growth in order to drive ongoing sales.
• Handle Medical tenders’ business (both direct and through intermediaries) ensuring quality tender documents are prepared in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the training of intermediaries including the in-house sales personnel on new and enhanced products.
• Co-ordinate any marketing campaigns to prospective customers.
• Provide market feedback to the underwriting department to ensure quality service and underwriting standards are maintained.
• Regularly conduct market survey aimed at collecting market intelligence on products and competitor activity.
• Handle all queries and issues from brokers and independent agents.
• Ensure all quotation requests are sent out within the agreed TAT’s & maintain a data base for Quotation & Tenders.
• Participating in company CSR & branding building activities in liaison with other departments.
• Any other duty as assigned by the immediate Supervisors.

Job Specifications

Academic Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field.

Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in Medical Insurance Business Development.
• Good communication and presentation skill.
• Good knowledge of the insurance business.

Key Responsibilities

The role will provide support for both General and Medical Business by:

• Coordinating statutory actuarial valuation of the technical liabilities.
• Undertaking quarterly actuarial valuation of the technical liabilities.
• Undertake the quarterly and annual solvency computations for both regulatory and management reporting.
• Analyzing Actuarial Statistics parameters for decision making.
• Review of product performance on a quarterly basis to determine product profitability and pricing.
• Review of premium rates annually in consultation with the underwriting manager.
• Support the Finance Department in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• To provide any other required actuarial support to the Company.

Job Specifications

Academic Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science.

Professional Qualifications

Good progress with actuarial professional exams from IFOA or any other recognized actuarial body.

Experience:

• 8 years’ experience in managing actuarial operations.
• Good communication and presentation skill.
• Good knowledge of the insurance business.
