Planning, Monitoring, and Knowledge Management Intern

The specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the Monitoring and Evaluation unit of the Department.
- Assist in the Planning and Strategy unit of the Department.
- Assist in the implementation of the standard operating procedures for monitoring and evaluation.
- Assist in the monitoring of implementation of the Council Strategic Plan.
- Assist in the receiving, collation and analyzing of quarterly reports from the Committees and Department.
- Assist in implementing of Council decisions that relate to the Department mandate.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of the Semi-annual and Annual review meetings.
- Assist in the development and dissemination of the Annual Statutory Report.
- Assist in the development and dissemination of the State of Devolution Address.
- Assist in the coordination of activities related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The Assignments will be task managed by the Council of Governors Committee supervised by and reporting to the Program Officer – Monitoring and Evaluation.
Duration of the assignment
- The internship duration is for a period of six (6) months.
Required Qualifications
- Have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation;
- Certificate in Computer applications.
- Experienced in undertaking comprehensive research;
- Outstanding Interpersonal, analytical and communication skills;
- Ability to follow deadlines, accuracy and attention to detail;
- A high level of computer literacy and proficient in written and spoken English and Kiswahili; and
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Committee Intern

Scope of Assignments
Support the Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Committee in monitoring best practices and emerging trends, sources with respect to Resource Mobilization for the Council.
The specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assist in Identifying key function priorities and funding sources and developing high quality proposals for funding in consultation with the technical leads;
- Assist in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships and engagement with Development Partners;
- Preparing of Concept notes, progress reports, speeches, briefs, and other documents relating to the Committee as may be required;
- Involvement in Resource mobilizing processes from Bilateral and Multilateral Donors, Philanthropic Foundations, and other approved sources;
- Developing and implementing prospective donor strategies including resource mobilization activities programmes;
- Building and advancing relationships with portfolio of current and prospective donors;
- Playing an integral role in supporting overall resource mobilization activities for the council
- Drafting briefing memos and donor presentations for senior leadership in preparation for donor meetings;
- Assisting in streamlining and preparation of concept notes and proposals for donor funding;
- Assisting in scheduling and coordinating donor meetings; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Procurement Intern

Scope of Assignments
Support the Procurement Department general running of stores and procurement activities during the preparation of the upcoming devolution Conference 2023.
The specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Proper documentation of all procured items; planning and coordination of purchasing and supply services;
- Controlling requisitions of items and services in the Council;
- Prepare and execute purchase orders and requisitions;
- Follow-up on delivery;
- Stores Receipt, Issue on demand;
- Coordinate inspection;
- Receive invoices;
- Prepare completion certificates;
- Initiate payment processes (Process Goods received notes);
- Monitor stock level & Ensure replenishment;
- Issue consumables and;
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The Assignments will be supervised by and reporting to the Supply Chain Management Officer
