The National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) is a semi-autonomous government agency (SAGA) under the Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs, in the State Department of Gender Affairs. Reporting to the County Coordinator or Senior Driver, the Driver will be responsible for:-

  • Driving the vehicle as authorised;
  • Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle, passengers and goods on and off the road; 
  • Maintaining daily work ticket;
  • Ensuring routine service and maintenance of the vehicle;
  • Carrying out routine checks on vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems and tyre pressure;
  • Detecting and reporting vehicle defects on time; ensuring vehicle cleanliness;
  • Timely reporting of accidents and follow up of police abstract; and
  • Vehicle inspection and keeping up-to-date insurance documents.

Qualifications
For appointment to this grad e, a candidate must have: –

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D Plain or its equivalent;
  • Valid Class BCE Driving License free from any endorsement;
  • Occupational Trade Test Grade II for drivers;
  • Passed Suitability Test for Drivers;
  • First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution;
  • Proficiency in computer skills; and
  • Certificate of good conduct from the National Police Service
