QSSK-DGM-IRO- Insurance Officer

Functions/Key expected results
- Assist in setting up comprehensive insurance cover for the company and affiliates in coordination with the Supply Chain Manager.
- Handle correspondence with existing insurance brokers on matters of insurance for the company
- Monitor and maintain all company insurance policy documents for all company assets
- Ensure timely renewal of all company insurance policies.
- Issuance of Travel and Marine cover policies as and when required.
- Vet and process all renewal and new cover premiums debits and credit notes for all policies
- Ensure timely premium settlement in consultation with the Finance department
- Ensure complete and timely claim documentation, and follow up all insurance claims through to settlement for both General and Life policies.
- In liaison with Last Mile and any other department, ensure the valuation of all company vehicles is done before the annual renewal of the Motor Insurance policy
- Monitor the performance of insurance coverage, assess business risk factors, and report any discrepancies to the Supply Chain Manager
- Monitor the medical scheme and report any cases of abuse to the HR Manager.
- Prepare Monthly Claims and Insurance reports to aid with Management decision-making.
- Any other duties that may be allocated from time to time
Academic and professional qualifications
- Hold at least a degree in Business Administration or related areas
- Hold at least a Certificate of Proficiency in insurance or a diploma in Insurance (AIIK/CII)
- Have a minimum of three years of experience in Insurance and Claims Management
- Ability to maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on insurance policies and claims
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Articulate planning

QSSK-DGM-CME-Construction Maintenance Engineer
Functions/Key expected results
- Managing the planning and design stages of construction projects.
- Contributing technical expertise to project drawings and designs.
- Developing Bill of Quantities and generate engineer’s estimate for financial projections.
- Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the contractors.
- Liaising between contractors and subcontractors.
- Overseeing construction engineering processes and carry out site supervision.
- Performing regular tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Ensuring that the construction project is completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure closure of project file with sign-offs including the As-Built drawings
- Documenting processes and keeping detailed construction logs.
- Develop and manage the maintenance schedule ensuring all repairs and maintenance issues for all facilities are addressed on time and in the most cost-efficient manner
- Ensure all facilities are safe for occupation and operations.
- Maintain maintenance costs control reports for the entire network and guide the leadership on key decisions pertaining to facilities management.

Academic and professional qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or similar.
- Be a registered Engineer with the Engineering Board of Kenya
- At least 2 years’ experience as a construction engineer in the relevant field of specialization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.   Â

- Advance proficiency in Archicad and Autocad is an added advantage
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations.
- Knowledge about health and safety legislation and Quality Standards
- Outstanding organizational abilities and delivery-focused approach and committed drive for results.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to analyze and present data.
- Strong sense of urgency/ability to work well under pressure, different priorities and tight deadlines.
- Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
