Data Collection Enumerators
Job Responsibilities
- Visit sampled households to interview eligible respondents and re-collect data.
- Explain the objectives of the exercise and their procedures to respondents.
- Interpret interview questions to assist respondents in understanding them and providing eloquent answers.
- Conduct extensive visual surveys of sampled households.
- Talk to respondents at their homes, ask questions, and submit data to help build comprehensive records for decision-making.
- Analyze the authenticity of the information provided by ensuring direct contact with each family/member within a family.
- Report to the supervisor promptly, providing daily reports on completed assignments and progress.
- Identify and report any issues that may arise while attempting to obtain valid data.
- Double-check information on survey information pads to ensure the accuracy of information.
Educational Qualification
- At least a mean grade of C- Minus or its equivalent in form four level of education.
- Computer proficiency and practical experience working with digital data collection tools.
Experience Requirements
- Prior experience working on a social development project is an added advantage
- Experience working with household surveys.
Additional Requirements
- The candidate must be a current resident of the location of interest, fluent in English and Kiswahili, and conversant with the local language.
- Able and willing to walk long distances and work long hours.
- Experience in motorbike riding with a valid license is an added advantage.
Compensation & Other Benefits
Successful candidates will be paid a rate of Kshs 2,200/= (Two thousand, two hundred) daily to cater for daily wages and logistics based on daily performance targets as outlined in the contract.
