The PSIP is a government initiative aimed at providing opportunities for graduates to acquire and develop valuable technical and professional skills, as well as gain work experience in the Public Service. Interns will be tasked with completing duties agreed upon and assigned by their supervisors, documenting relevant skills acquired in their areas of deployment, and actively participating in any relevant mentorship activities and additional responsibilities designed for the program.

Shortlisted candidates are required to provide documents such as a National Identity card or passport, as well as academic and professional certificates. Those who applied can check if they have been selected for the 12-month internship program by visiting the PSC website, www.publicservice.go.ke, and clicking on the internship section. A drop-down list will appear and the candidate is required to click on the PSIP Internship Shortlisted bar, where five documents containing the shortlisted applicants will be displayed. The list has been organized by serial number and includes the name, gender, folio, county, interview date, and time.
